Activities

• On 27th January 2004, “TANVEER ABBASI SEMINAR” was arranged by the Tanveer Abbasi Corner; whose inauguration ceremony was presided over by the then Vice Chancellor; whereas Madam Qamar Tanveer Abbasi, the spouse of the late Doctor was invited as Chief Guest and Dr. Abdul Jabbar Junejo, the renowned scholar delivered keynote speech in the event. In the seminar, scholars participated from all corners of Sindh and red their articles on the works and contributions of Tanveer Abbasi.

•  On 28th November 2006, a sober poetry recital programme was arranged by Tanveer Abbasi Corner titled “TANVEER ABBASI YADGAR MUSHAIRO”. In it various famous and acclaimed poets took part in recitals of poetry on plurality of themes including poems on the contribution of Tanveer Abbasi for Sindhi language and literature. The occasion was presided over by well known Sindhi poet Sarkash Sindhi and the Chief Guest was another couple of important Sindhi poets Sami Baloach and Abdul Ghaffar Tabassum. The poetry recital was followed by a musical gala in which singers including Barkat Ali Bhatt, Rehmat Ali Mirali, Zafar Sheeno, Sharif Abbasi and others paid tribute to Tanveer Abbasi by singing his lyrics.
