Requlations

         The Registrar shall notify the last date of receiving application for admission to the University Teaching Department.

  1. Every candidate desirous of taking admission to the Graduate (BS/B.A./B.Com Four Year program/Honors ) or the Post-Graduate classes shall fill in the admission form obtainable from any of the approved branches of the Habib Bank Limited, on payment of its price as fixed from time to time. The admission forms, duly filled in by the candidates and supported by all the required documents by the approved branches of the Habib Bank Limited.
  2. Every male candidate shall supply five copies of his recent photograph (four passport size and one (1” X 1.1/2” ), duly attested, along with the admission form.
  3. Anyone who has passed the H.S.C part II/ Intermediate Examinations or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent to the H.S.C part II/ Intermediate Examination is eligible to seek admission to the relevant (Graduate (Four Year Program/Honors) course provided that he/she fulfills the requirements of minimum percentage of 50 % marks for Intermediate Science and Arts/Commerce students and other conditions of admission as may be prescribed from time to time. The admission shall be purely on MERIT basis and subject to the availability of seats in the concerned discipline.
  4. A candidate who has passed H.S.C Part II Science or H.S.C Part II Commerce Examination is also eligible for admission to B.A. (Honors) Part-I Class.
  5. A Candidate who has already completed his/her course of study in University Teaching Department leading to Bachelor’s (Pass/Honors) degree in one discipline shall NOT be eligible to take admission another graduate course in the University Teaching Undergraduate.
  6. A Candidate who has already passed Bachelor’s pass course degree Examination from Shah Abdul Latif University shall NOT be eligible for admission to Bachelor’s Course in any discipline.
  7. Anyone who has passed the Bachelor’s Examinations from this University or from any other University recognized by this University is eligible to seek admission to the post-graduate (Previous) class that he/she fulfills the requirements of minimum percentage of marks and other conditions of admission as may be prescribed. The admission shall be purely on MERIT basis and subject to the availability of seats in the concerned discipline.
  8. A Candidate who has passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com (Pass) Examination with a minimum percentage of 50% marks in Science/Arts is eligible for seeking admission to Art Department admission to the M.A (Previous) class if otherwise eligible.
  9. A candidate who has already both regular and external M.A/M.Sc/M.com or any other post-graduate examination from any University shall NOT be eligible for admission to a second or subsequent post-graduate degree course in the University Teaching Department/Affiliated Colleges.
  10. No Admission shall be given to a candidate, who has passed Examination in 3rd Divisin from Board other than the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sukkur and Larkana or the Universities other than Shah Abdul Latif and University of Sindh. However, the candidate who has passed the H.S.C. Part-II, Intermediate examination in 3rd Division from the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad, or the equivalent Examination from Sindh Board of Technical Education, Karachi, through an institution located within the territorial jurisdiction of Shah Abdul Latif University is eligible to seek admission to the relevant graduate course where no minimum percentage of marks is fixed. The Vice chancellor, however, may relax this condition in case of candidates coming from other Boards/Universities to take admission to disciplines, where no minimum percentage of marks is fixed and also if the seats are available. In such cases prior permission of the Vice Chancellor is imperative.
  11. A Candidate who desires to take admission in a University class must be national of Pakistan. The foreign nationals may be considered for admission only when nominated/recommended by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance & Economic Affairs Division, Govt. of Pakistan.
  12. The candidates, shall have to produce the following documents in original along with their attested Photostat copies:
    i. Pass Certificate of the Last Qualifying Examination.
    ii. Marks Certificate of the Last Qualifying Examination.
    iii. Transfer Certificate from Principal of the College/Institute last attended.
    iv. Character Certificate from Principal of the College/Institute last attended.
  13. A candidate show has passed Examination from University or a Board other than Shah Abdul Latif University &/or the Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Sukkur & Larkana shall be admitted to any class unless he/she obtains a certificate of eligibility from Shah Abdul Latif University however, the Registrar may issue a provisional admission certificate if he is satisfied that he applicant is prima-facie eligible for admission to the University AT H/HAT & on the condition that he/she obtains a final certificate of eligibility before such date as may be fixed by the Vice Chancellor.
  14. Vice Chancellor may refuse admission to any candidate the University classes without assigning any reason.
  15. All the Admissions shall be provisional until approved by the Vice Chancellor.
  16. No change of department shall be allowed once the admission is taken.
  17. A student of the University admitted to any University Class as a regular student shall T eligible to appear a any University Examination as an T AL A AT simultaneously during his/her University studentship.
  18. The student shall attend the classed regularly to the satisfaction of his/her teachers.
  19. The student shall do all the necessary written work, tutorial and seminars as directed by his/her teacher/teachers to his/her/their satisfaction.
  20. The student shall maintain discipline and good moral character.
  21. The student shall do nothing. Either in or outside the University that may interfere with the orderly administration and discipline or may bring the University and its administration into disrepute.
  22. The admission of any student, who occupies the University Hotel or any part thereof forcible, shall stand cancelled automatically.
  23. The University authorities shall not be responsible for any transport arrangements of the students.
  24. The regular student is required to keep at least 75% of attendance of eligibility to appear at the Examination.
  25. A student who shows indifference to his/her studies by continued absence from Lectures, Practical, Tutorials, Tests or assignments shall be liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls of the University.
  26. No student shall be re-admitted without the prior permission of the Vice Chancellor, in case his/her admission is cancelled due to any reason.
  27. No ex-student shall be given access to facilities of using the Library, Laboratories, Seminars etc without the prior permission of the Vice Chancellor.
  28. Each student admitted to a Four Year Program/Honors or Post-Graduate class shall obtain identity card on the prescribed from on payment of the necessary fee.
  29. if any identity card is or destroyed, a duplicate must be obtained immediately after such event of payment of fee of Rs.50/=
