The Model School of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, organized a spiritually enriching Jashan-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebration at Benazir Chair, bringing together students, teachers and distinguished guests in an atmosphere of devotion and reverence.
The event was graced by Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk and Additional District and Sessions Judge Ms. Samina Mangi as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Khushk emphasized that the true spirit of Eid Milad-un-Nabi lies in translating the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into everyday life. He highlighted honesty, compassion, justice, tolerance and respect for humanity as fundamental values essential for building a peaceful and progressive society.
“Let us make a commitment today that we will always speak the truth and never compromise on honesty. Even adopting one noble teaching of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with sincerity can bring a meaningful change in our lives,” Dr. Khushk remarked.
The Vice Chancellor stressed that educational institutions have a responsibility not only to impart knowledge but also to nurture moral character, ethical values and a sense of social responsibility among students. He encouraged young learners to seek knowledge, develop discipline and follow the exemplary character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Dr. Khushk also referred to the remarkable progress of nations through education, research, innovation and technological advancement, emphasizing that intellectual development must go hand in hand with moral and ethical excellence.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ms. Samina Mangi, addressing the ceremony, highlighted the timeless teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), particularly compassion, honesty and justice. Recalling her association with SALU as a former faculty member of the Department of Law and member of the Syndicate, she expressed pleasure over the university’s ongoing development.
She appreciated the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, observing that the university was making encouraging progress, strengthening its academic environment and improving its institutional image. She also acknowledged his efforts towards student development and expressed happiness at participating in the celebration.
Dr. Khushk particularly appreciated Principal Farzana Jabbar and the dedicated teaching staff of SALU Model School for their commitment to students’ academic and character development and for successfully organizing the celebration.
Principal Farzana Jabbar, in her address, highlighted the significance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi and urged students to follow the noble character, kindness and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in their daily lives.
Students presented beautiful and heartfelt Naats in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Their enthusiastic participation reflected their love and devotion to the Prophet (PBUH).
The programme was attended by teachers, a large number of students and distinguished guests, including Dr. Sahib Oad, Azra Ansari, Javed Bhayo, Waseem Kalhoro and Aslam Ghanghro. Shumaila Rubab Rizvi conducted the proceedings.
The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to promoting Islamic values, moral education and character building among the younger generation.
