Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, held its Monthly Review Meeting today in the Syndicate Hall, presided over by Meritorious Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Vice Chancellor of the university. The session was specifically convened to assess the progress of foreign-qualified faculty members and previous winners of competitive projects, conference, and symposium grants.
The meeting was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Ms. Samina Mangi, Additional District and Sessions Judge.
In his opening remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk lauded the faculty for their pivotal role in the university's recent achievements. "We won the sign language lab because of the dedicated efforts of our faculty members," he stated, emphasizing the importance of continued institutional support. He directed the administration to establish a dedicated gallery on the university's website to showcase faculty achievements and encouraged faculty members to forge linkages with international scholars.
"Today is a fruitful day, and we are progressing in terms of conferences and labs. Whatever commitment has been made will bear fruit in the future," Dr. Khushk added, expressing confidence that the university's focus on collaboration and international linkages will enhance its academic standing. "We are heading with commitment and will lead the country and the world."
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Samina Mangi, Additional District and Sessions Judge, appreciated the learned faculty for their contributions. She expressed hope that such a large and qualified faculty would play a significant role in the development of the institution and contribute meaningfully to society at large.
The session featured detailed presentations from attending faculty members and Deans, who provided brief progress updates regarding their respective research projects and grants. To ensure maximum participation, a hybrid attendance model was implemented. A Microsoft Teams link was provided in the official notice, allowing faculty members and Deans unable to attend physically to join the proceedings online.
The meeting underscored the university's ongoing commitment to monitoring academic progress, research grants, and competitive projects.
