The Students’ Society Centre of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, brought together passion, talent, and patriotism in a vibrant Independence Day celebration titled “Marka-e-Haq” on Wednesday, 13th August 2025. With the theme “Rhythms of Freedom & National Pride”, the program blended stirring speeches, soul-stirring national songs, and visually compelling tableaus, each evoking the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes and the collective hope for a prosperous Pakistan. The performances, filled with youthful zeal and cultural pride, reflected the university’s mission to foster civic consciousness and unity among its students. This inspiring display of spirit and scholarship was organized under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk.
The proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Zeeshan Rehman, followed by a Na’at by Jawahar Abbas, and the National Anthem, which set a reverent and unified tone. A special screening of ISPR’s Bunyan ul Marsos moved the audience, reinforcing the message of resilience and devotion to the homeland.
Students from various departments showcased their talents in spirited speech competitions conducted in English, Urdu, and Sindhi. Their words echoed the values of independence, national dignity, and collective responsibility. Adding to the festivities, participants from Cadet College Khairpur and other educational institutions performed powerful national songs and captivating tableaus, each narrating a unique chapter of Pakistan’s journey.
The event was moderated with eloquence and coordination by Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Coordinator of the Students’ Society Centre, and Syeda Shumaila Rubab Rizvi. Distinguished guests included Madam Zakira Khuhso, Madam Huma Rizwan, and Mr. Mansoor Mirani, who praised the students for their energy and commitment.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt prayer for Pakistan’s peace, unity, and prosperity, led by Madam Shumaila Rubab Rizvi.
